A while back, I posted some great gear I’d found for book lovers in the form of fun bookmarks and literary art prints. Today, I’m doing the same thing — I mean, what’s not to love about book stuff when you’re a book lover, right?
First up, with so many books in your home, you need a great way to keep your shelves organized. I love the whimsical nature of these bracket book ends.
From the Etsy shop Design Ateller Article, these brackets are both functional and design-forward. I also love the concept of the brackets encompassing all the knowledge/characters/storylines and more contained within as well. Kind of a nice concept, huh?
If you’re anything like me, you love to introduce friends to new books — hence this very blog. But, if you’re also like me, you’re pretty forgetful — too many story lines in your head.
If that’s true, I would recommend marking your books, and what better way than by a personalized bookplate sticker? I love the idea of giving these as gifts to friends, family members, teachers — even expecting parents.
These bookplate stickers are created on-demand by Pearenthetical Press on Etsy. The shop has lots of lovely prints in the form of stationery, etc. Be sure to check them out.
Alright, if you’re not familiar with the musical stylings and wordsmithing of Sir-Mix-Alot, then you’re not going to get this joke. But for those of you who are familiar with his…well…skills with rhyme and meter, then you’re going to get a kick out of this bag by PamelaFugateDesigns on Etsy.com.
My favorite part about this bag? Explaining the joke to people who don’t understand. Always makes for an entertaining encounter.
I don’t know about you, but whenever I purchase a mug for the office, it always goes missing. As one of only two copywriters at work, this mug may be perfect for me. Then again, we have a lot of avid readers at work. Here’s hoping it doesn’t go missing, because I’m definitely placing an order.
From BookFiend on Etsy.com, this mug is just one of hundreds of book-related gear in the shop — everything from jewelry to bookmarks and magnets.
For example, this Pen > Sword magnet is perfect for someone like me. I have been joking for years that my weapon of choice is a pen. Sometimes the pen is black, sometimes it’s red (when I’m in copyediting mode of course), but certainly I choose to fight with words.
Either way, I want this magnet for my office as well.
Hope you enjoy!
